Your first article

Create a category, write an article, and publish it for the docs site.

Content for this template lives in Doc Categories, Doc Articles, and Doc Versions.

Create a category

  1. Open Doc Categories in Elmapi.
  2. Add a title and slug.
  3. Set Sort Order so the category appears where you want it in the sidebar.
  4. Publish the entry.

Create an article

  1. Open Doc Articles.
  2. Set the title, slug, and a short summary.
  3. Write the body in markdown.
  4. Relate the article to a category and a version.
  5. Set Sort Order within that category.
  6. Publish.

Check the site

After publish (and cache refresh if you use webhooks), the article appears in the sidebar under its category. Open /v/{version}/{slug} to read it.

Tip: Keep summaries short. They power the home page cards and the optional client search.
